VPS.net run what they call a Virtual Private Server Cloud (VPS Cloud).
Each VPS is made up of one or more units called nodes. A node is allocated a guaranteed share of CPU and RAM resources. The more nodes you assign to a VPS, the more physical resources will be dedicated to your system. Unlike shared hosting providers, the resources are not oversold or shared between machines.
Each node gives you 0.6 GHz CPU, 376 MB RAM, 10 GB storage and 250 GB bandwidth. Select as many nodes you like – from one to 16 (which gives you a monster VPS a 10.8 GHz CPU, 6788 MB RAM, 180 GB storage and 4500 GB bandwidth).
The cloud service is instantly scalable, giving you the ability to increase your capacity when you need it and scale back when you don’t. You can even have your content delivered simultaneously from both the United Kingdom and United States. Unlike a dedicated server there are no commitments or lock-ins and you only pay for the resources you use.
The price for a cloud VPS at VPS.net starts at $20/month for one node and goes all the way up to $234/month for 18 nodes.
